This is Kōrero Paki

A journey through Māori mythology performed through 3D holographic

sculptures on mobile displays.

Kōrero Paki takes five key moments from Māori mythology and transforms them into 3D holographic sculptures displayed on personal hand-held devices.

Through a simplified motion capture process, the drawings were transformed by a live performer into animated narratives. Viewed with simple red/cyan cardboard glasses, the sculptures are perceived as hovering above the surface of a smartphone and appear to be dancing in the viewer’s hand.

*Requires anaglyph red/cyan 3D glasses. For full list of locations see '3D glasses' page

1. Wear glasses with pattern on the outside

2. Hold your device in portrait format

3. For the best result, hold the device flat horizontally approximately 40cm away
